Plans

Plans that fit

Windows needs more disk and RAM than Linux. Microsoft lists 32 GB as the minimum disk size for Windows Server, so we suggest Virtual-2 (8 GB RAM, 50 GB SSD) or larger.

Windows VPS

Windows Server, your way

  • Windows Server 2019 to 2025

Templates in the control panel install the 180-day evaluation edition. Activate it with your own licence key for longer use.

  • Your own ISO

Prefer another version or your own setup? Mount a custom ISO and install it through the VNC console.

  • Remote Desktop

Connect with any RDP client from Windows, macOS, Linux or your phone, using your server's dedicated IPv4.

  • AMD EPYC with KVM

Your Windows VPS runs on AMD EPYC 7763 with full KVM virtualization and full administrator rights.

  • Dedicated IPv4 + IPv6

Every VPS gets its own IPv4 address and an IPv6 /64. Extra IPv4 addresses cost $1.50 per month each.

  • 10 Gbps port

Every Virtual plan has a 10 Gbps port and 1 to 8 TB of monthly traffic.

Connect with Remote Desktop

  1. Order a plan and install Windows Server from the control panel, or mount your own ISO.
  2. When the installation has finished, open your Remote Desktop app: Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc) on Windows, or the Windows App on macOS, iOS and Android.
  3. Connect to your server's IPv4 address and log in as Administrator.

If Remote Desktop doesn't connect, open the VNC console in the control panel. It shows the server's screen directly, without the network.

Windows licence

Our Windows Server templates install the evaluation edition, which Microsoft lets you use for 180 days. A licence is not included in the price. To keep using Windows after that, activate it with your own Windows Server licence key; Microsoft's documentation explains how to convert an evaluation installation to a full edition.

Secure it from day one

  • Install Windows updates right after the first login.
  • Use a long, unique Administrator password. Bots scan the Remote Desktop port (3389) all the time.
  • If you have a fixed IP at home or work, allow Remote Desktop only from that IP in Windows Defender Firewall.
  • Keep your own backups. We don't offer a backup service.

Upgrading later

Need more RAM or disk? Upgrade to a larger plan and pay only the difference. After a disk upgrade, extend the C: drive in Disk Management; our guide on using extra disk space shows how. Restart the VPS from the control panel after an upgrade (why).

Prefer Linux? The same plans run Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and more. See all EPYC VPS plans.

Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025 (Standard) are available as templates in the control panel. You can also mount your own ISO and install another version through the VNC console.

Is a Windows licence included?

No. Our Windows Server templates install the evaluation edition, which Microsoft lets you use for 180 days. For longer use, activate Windows with your own Windows Server licence key.

With Remote Desktop (RDP) to your server's IPv4 address, from any RDP client on Windows, macOS, Linux or your phone. The VNC console in the control panel works too, even when Remote Desktop is not reachable.
